Maggie is a native Montanan. Her hometown of Whitefish is nestled in the northwest corner of the state between Canada and Glacier National Park.
Maggie began skiing at age 2 at Whitefish Mountain Resort. At the encouragement of her twin brother, she passed on alpine racing, and instead joined the Whitefish Mountain Resort freestyle team where she began sharpening her skills on the jumps and rails in the FishBowl terrain park. Here she found her true passion in freestyle skiing.
Maggie exploded onto the women’s pro slopestyle scene during the 2013-2014 season with a Dew Tour podium, X Games silver medal, and a spot on the inaugural U.S. Olympic slopestyle team.
I always try to take the pressure off myself. That’s how I take every competition. I have to remember why I compete in this sport and why I love it. There is nothing else I want to do. I tell myself that all the time — especially when I’m having a hard day.Maggie Voisin
